HerWell is built on a foundation of trust and transparency. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have comprehensive rights over every single piece of health data you share with us.

What data does HerWell hold about you?

When you use HerWell, we store only the health data you explicitly provide. We do not track your location, sell your data to advertisers, or share it with any third parties for commercial purposes.

Symptom & mood records
Daily metrics (sleep, water, weight)
AI chat history

Your six GDPR rights

You can exercise any of these rights at any time, directly from the app or by contacting our team.

Right to Access

You have the right to request a complete copy of all personal data we hold about you at any time. This includes your cycle logs, symptom records, mood entries, AI chat history, and account information.

How: Go to Profile → Privacy Settings → Export My Data

Right to Data Portability

You can export your entire health history as a structured JSON file at any time, completely free of charge. This data is machine-readable and can be imported into other health services.

How: Go to Profile → Privacy Settings → Export My Data

Right to Rectification

If any of your personal data held by HerWell is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected. You can edit your profile, cycle history, and health logs directly within the app at any time.

Right to Erasure

You have the right to request permanent deletion of your account and all associated health data. When you initiate deletion, your account enters a 30-day recovery grace period, after which all data is permanently and irreversibly erased from our servers.

Right to Restrict Processing

You have the right to request that we limit how we process your personal data. If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, or you believe it is inaccurate, you may request restriction while the matter is investigated.

Right to Object

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for any purpose at any time. HerWell does not process your data for advertising or marketing profiling purposes.

How long do we keep your data?

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

  • Your account enters a 30-day grace period to allow for accidental deletion recovery.
  • After 30 days, all your personal data is permanently erased from our servers.
  • Anonymised, aggregated statistical data (which cannot identify you) may be retained for service improvement.

You can restore your account by contacting support@getherwell.com at any time within the 30-day grace period.

Have a data request?

We respond to all GDPR data requests within 30 days as required by law. You can also action most requests yourself directly within the app.
